The UCI has today announced that The Sufferfest, a world-leader in the production of indoor cycling training videos, will become the first major sponsor of the UCI Women Road World Cup. The sponsorship agreement is another indication of the growing appeal of women’s cycling and the UCI’s commitment to develop and grow it worldwide.

Dick Marty, Chairman of the Cycling Independent Reform Commission [CIRC] appealed today for anyone with information which could help his commission understand cycling's doping past to come forward. The CIRC, which is based in Lausanne, was established by the UCI in January to investigate historic doping in cycling and allegations that the UCI has been involved in previous wrongdoing.

British Cycling President, Brian Cookson, today announced that he is willing to offer himself as a candidate for the position of President of the Union Cycliste Internationale (International Cycling Union). Elections take place at the Annual Congress in Florence, Italy, in September.
