Rider Feature: Taylor Phinney has ridden his last race. He was a class act and looked to have a wonderful career ahead of him; Classics, time trials, stage races and track titles were within his grasp, but a horrific crash took that all away. Against all odds, Phinney returned, but was not the same and ended is pro career last Sunday, Ed Hood looks back at the rider and the man.

Vuelta Stage Report: The penultimate mountain stage of la Vuelta was won by EF Education First's Sergio Higuita. The promising Colombian had lost twenty minutes on the road to Guadalajara yesterday, but today he soloed to victory. Miguel Ángel López (Astana) provided the fireworks, causing Nairo Quintana (Movistar) and Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) to lose time.

Lachlan Morton completed the inaugural GBDURO, a 2000-kilometer solo bike-packing adventure from Land’s End, England to John o’Groats, Scotland on Friday. The Australian spent 104 hours over seven days atop his new Cannondale Topstone Carbon during his Journey.

PeloPics: Stage 2 of the AMGEN Tour of California from Rancho Cordova to South Lake Tahoe saw EF Education First put Tejay van Garderen into the overall lead.
