For today's Readers' Rigs we head north to Canada where we find one of France's favorite machines, a LOOK 695 Light decked out in Dura-Ace Di2 and with Easton Carbon Clinchers on board. Not a new bike, but timeless in its looks and very rideable. Four years old but could be right out of the box yesterday.

It's time for another Retro Readers' Rigs, the column where PEZ-Fans send in photos and a story about their bikes. A Readers' Rig could be anything from a $15,000 carbon fibre super machine to a vintage racer or something that's completely out of the ordinary like this custom painted stainless steel bike with retro style downtube shifters and drilled out brake levers.

The road market may be diverging into many sub-disciplines and styles of bikes. Does that mean that there’s no longer room for a do-it-all road bike, or that it becomes a mushy mound of compromise? After my summer of riding on Aquila Cycle’s brand new Neo, I’d vouch for its ability to deliver solid performance for almost anything you’re planning on tarmac.

After Ed Hood's look at some stunning track bikes from the 80s, today we look at an iconic Readers' Rig. A custom steel effort with a difference, based on a Shimano promotional poster from the '80s. With the frame copied perfectly from the poster the owner himself then hit the spraybooth to paint his creation with the result being such a cool bike that Shimano themselves bought it and now have it displayed in their bike museum in Japan!

Here it comes…! Shimano has ‘officially’ unveiled their newest Dura-Ace gruppo for 2009. Early hands-on accounts are glowing, and it seems the performance bar has been raised once again. Team Highroad mechanic Benny Devcich has been working with the protos and testing for some time, so we asked him to take us through the line.
