Vuelta Rest Day No.1: The first nine days of the 2019 Vuelta a España are now just dust, or in the case of stage 9 in Andorra - mud! Ed Hood is in a virtual Andorran café to review the Spanish action so far and give us his unique view on the Grand Tour as it takes its first rest day in the Pyrenees.

Vuelta Stage Report: Sunweb's Nikias Arndt won a rain-soaked stage 8 of the Vuelta a España. The German was the strongest rider of the early break that splashed its way in to Igualada after 166.9 kilometres. Frenchman Nicolas Edet (Cofidis) moved into the overall lead with 3 minutes on Miguel Ángel López of Astana.

Vuelta Stage Report: World champion Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) won the seventh stage of the Vuelta a España after a battle royal on the steep finalé of the Mas de la Costa. Valverde out-sprinted Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) just ahead of Miguel Ángel López (Astana) and teammate Nairo Quintana. Dylan Teuns (Bahrain-Merida) couldn't follow, so López is back in the red jersey.

Vuelta Stage Report: Jesús Herrada (Cofidis) won the sixth stage of the Vuelta a España. The Spanish rider was the best on the tough final in Ares del Maestrat, a third category climb. Herrada defeated his escape companion Dylan Teuns (Bahrain-Merida), who was more interested in taking the overall lead. Teuns replaced Astana's Miguel Ángel López in the red jersey.

Vuelta Stage Report: Ángel Madrazo (Burgos-BH) won stage 5 of the Vuelta a España to the Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre. He rode away from teammate Jetse Bol and José Herrada (Cofidis) - the stage long break. Miguel Ángel López (Astana) took over the red leader's jersey from Nicolas Roche (Sunweb), who crossed the finish line 1:30 after the Colombian.

Vuelta Stage Report: Astana won a chaotic stage 1 team time trial in Torrevieja. The Kazakh team took 14 minutes and 51 seconds for the 13.4 long team time trial. Two seconds faster than Deceuninck - Quick-Step and 5 seconds on Sunweb, the win put Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana) into the overall lead. A crash for Jumbo-Visma lost them forty seconds.

PeloPics: The 2019 Vuelta a España presented the competing teams on Thursday in front of a large multi-national crowd in the Spanish resort town of Moraira. The opening event was shown on live TV with all the razzmatazz of a Grand Tour, PEZman Alastair Hamilton was there to take in the fun.

Vuelta Preview: The third Grand Tour of the year rolls down the team time trial ramp in the Spanish resort town of Torrevieja on Saturday evening for one of the most open Vuelta a España's for years. It doesn't look there is a dominant rider, but Ed Hood runs through the course and riders to see who could pull off the big win in Madrid. Vuelta time!

Route Preview:On Wednesday the 19th of December 2018, la Vuelta a España route for 2019 was presented in Alicante, PEZ-man Alastair Hamilton was there to take in the announcement as it happened. The stage 1 team time trial starts Vuelta'19 this Saturday, so Alastair looks back at the presentation and gives us his thoughts on the Spanish Grand Tour route.
