Stage Report: Stage 19 of the Tour de France was neutralised by hail on the route. The times were taken at the top of the Col de l’Iseran. Egan Bernal and Simon Yates were in the lead. The next group behind with Geraint Thomas, Steven Kruijswijk and Emanuel Buchmann, were more than a minute down. The yellow jersey, Julian Alaphilippe, was at more than two minutes.

Stage Report: Movistar's Nairo Quintana hadn't shown much interest in the Tour so far, but then the Alps arrived today. The Colombian was part of the early break, but rode away from the others on the Galibier to cross the line solo. Team Ineos attacked; Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) survived to hold the lead, but Egan Bernal moved into second place overall.

Stage Report: European champion, Matteo Trentin (Mitchelton-Scott) soloed into Gap for the win on Tour stage 17. The Italian was part of the big early break, which took over 15 minutes on the peloton. Ten kilometres from the finish, he rode away from the group for the solo to win. Yellow jersey, Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) was safe in the peloton, no change on the overall.

Stage Report: Caleb Ewan gave his Lotto Soudal team his second stage win in the Tour de France. The Australian was the fastest sprinter, beating Elia Viviani (Deceuninck - Quick-Step), Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma). The yellow jersey remains on the shoulders of Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step), although Geraint Thomas crashed and Jakob Fuglsang had to abandon.

Stage Report: In another day of attacks and counter attacks in the Pyrenees, Simon Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) took his second stage in this Tour. Behind the Englishman there were fireworks as Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) attacked again to take a some time back. Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) suffered, but held his yellow jersey by 1:35 going into the second rest day.

Stage Report: Just when it looked like Geraint Thomas (Ineos) would be riding into the horizon on the Tourmalet for the yellow jersey, the Welshman performed his own 'Brexit' and was dropped by the group of favourites, including Deceuninck - Quick-Step's Julian Alaphilippe. Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) put in the stage 14 winning jump in the final metres for a French double.

Stage Report: Deceuninck - Quick-Step's Julian Alaphilippe impressively won the individual time trial in Pau. After 27.2 kilometres he stoped the clock at 35 minutes, beating Geraint Thomas (Ineos) by 14 seconds. Thomas de Gendt (Lotto Soudal) was third after being in the 'hot seat' for a long time. Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) crashed out and left the race in an ambulance.

Stage Report: Mitchelton-Scott's Simon Yates won the first Pyrenean stage of the 2019 Tour de France. The English rider out-sprinted his fellow escapees in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. The favourites for the overall victory decided to take it easy the day before the individual time trial. Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) managed to keep the yellow jersey.

Stage Report: The break was never going to succeed, but Wanty-Gobert's Aime De Gendt nearly soloed into Toulouse. In the end the peloton could see the plucky Belgian on the wide boulevards and stage 11 came down to a sprint. After an elbows-out finalé it was Lotto Soudal's Caleb Ewan who threw his bike over the line ahead of Dylan Groenewegen (Jumbo-Visma).
