On a day which could so easily have been the dreaded ‘boring sprinter stage’ the race detonated in the last 30 minutes with echelons, splits and a savage finale which saw Frenchman Nacer Bouhanni (F des J) the sharpest and fastest.
Race Report: Italy's Alessandro De Marchi has taken a step up from most aggressive rider's award at the Tour by getting onto the top step as stage winner at the Vuelta. De Marchi was in a four-man escape and solo'd to the line. Chris Froome had a down-and-up day; from tarmac to time bonus.
Race Report: Everyone was saying this stage would be the first form pointer for the top men in this years Vuelta a España, and so it was, up to a point. Alejandro Valverde took the day, but the Vuelta is still wide open.
Race Report: John Degenkolb took his seventh Vuelta stage in Ronda, much to the chagrin of Nacer Bouhanni. The Frenchman felt aggrieved and complained to no avail. But the day had been full of excitement before the contretemps of the finalé.
Race Report: On a day when the biggest challenge was the all-consuming heat it was that other German sprinter who powered into the ancient city of Córdoba and took the win for Giant-Shimano. John Degenkolb has every reason to love Spain and will be looking for more wins in this year’s race.

Race Report: A day that started on a battle ship ended with a battle of a different kind as the riders took on a difficult almost 200km long stage under scorching summer heat. With a short climb coming right near the end of the stage this would be a day that would keep you guessing right until the final meters.
Photo Report: Our husband and wife reporting team of Travis and Angelica Dixon hit the roads of Colorado one last time on Sunday to capture all the action and atmosphere of the final stage from Boulder to Denver. Travis was on the bike and Angelica on the photo-moto for what was yet another great day's racing through the spectacular Colorado countryside.
Race Report: In a fast and furious finish, as the riders sped through La Isla San Fernando, it was the team of FDJ who played their hand to perfection and set up Nacer Bouhanni for the win. He finished it off in style and even had time to look over his shoulder and show his rivals who was boss.
