    An individual time trial of 26,8 km, with start in Bad Ragaz, closed the Tour de Suisse. There had to be climbed today as well, because the finish was on the Flumserberg and that meant an average gradient of 9% in the final 10 kilometers. Rui Costa set the best time and snatched the overall victory away from the Swiss Mathias Frank, who was leading the GC since the third stage. The Portuguese Costa successfully defended his title.

    Jens Debusschere crashed in the fifth stage of the Tour de Suisse. Thirty kilometers before the finish the riders had to get out of the way of a bus that was parked at the side of the road. They had to go through a smaller part of the road, braked and a crash followed.

    June 13, 2013 - The juggernaut that is the Tour de France is rumbling toward us at great speed and the team have started naming their hopefuls for the French race. We also have the results, video and anything else from the Tour de Suisse, the Tour de Beauce and the Ster ZLM Toer GP Jan van Heeswijk. Also a lot of great video catch-up’s from the Giro d’Italia and the Dauphiné, plus we visit our own Dr. Cheung in his lab. Basically a very full EuroTrash bag this Thursday morning.

    June 10, 2013 - The Tour de France GC hopefuls are at full gas; the Critérium du Dauphiné finished on Sunday and the Tour de Suisse has another week to go. Chris Froome has put himself in the driving seat with his win in France, but Paris is a long way away. Loads of other stuff with video, results and what the riders are saying.     Saturday, 8th of June, Team Saxo-Tinkoff are rolling out on the Swiss roads to do another warm-up race for this year's Tour de France. Tour de Suisse is launched with an 8-kilometer long prologue in Quinto and the very next day, the heavier riders can kiss the chance of conquering the overall lead goodbye as the second stage holds an uphill finish on Crans Montana - a more than 10-kilometer long first category climb.

    Tomorrow the Tour de Suisse will start, the race ends on Sunday 16th of June. This is the second preparatory race for the Tour de France, next to the Critérium du Dauphiné. Lotto Belisol relies on Francis De Greef for a good overall classification. The key word for our team in this tough WorldTour race is: attacking. Hopefully that will be rewarded by a stage win. Tosh Van der Sande comes back in competition after he broke his left collarbone four weeks ago in the Tour de Picardie.

    Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team has announced the selection that will participate in Tour de Suisse, a 1,301.4km stage race from June 8th until June 16th. The 2013 edition features a Stage 1, 8.1km TT, chances for climbers in the mountains for Stage 2 (161km) and Stage 7 (206km), and a final stage TT of 26.8km, which includes an uphill approach to the finish. There are multiple medium mountain stages, and a sprint finale is most likely on Stage 4.
