Lotto Belisol: Injury news
lotto650big On Monday Greg Henderson had surgery of the knee. The New-Zealander suffered from a prepatellar friction syndrome (irritation of the tendon at the level of the patella), which frequently occurs with cyclists, who fold and stretch the knee with each rotation. The treatments and the rest he took in the past weeks didn’t have the desired result. Because of the surgery Henderson will miss the season’s start.

Bart De Clercq had a CT-scan yesterday which showed a rib fracture. He had hurt himself earlier during the teambuilding last week on Tuesday. Friday X-rays were taken and no injury was visible. When at the beginning of this week he got sharp pain, extra tests followed and the diagnosis was a rib fracture. The next days the rider has to put the bike aside. He can resume the training when the pain is less.
