Zwift Launches Social Fitness App for Apple TV
The community-driven indoor cycling game is now fully available in tvOS, bringing Zwift into the home on the lowest priced platform yet.

Zwift, the massive multiplayer online fitness software, today announced the launch of a comprehensive app available for tvOS. The same Zwift hundreds of thousands have come to love on their computer or iOS device is now available on the new 4th and 5th/4K Generation Apple TVs. Users from around the world can now easily access and engage with Zwift’s lush gaming graphics, smooth gameplay, and integrated exercise data intuitively and more affordably than ever before.

Zwift’s app for Apple TV follows the company’s launch into Apple’s app ecosystem earlier this year with iPhone and iPad. Following strong user adoption of the iOS platform, Zwift developed an app for tvOS, enabling Zwifters to more easily stream the game through their home television. Zwifters can simply download the app, use the latest generation Apple TV’s native Bluetooth to connect their trainer/sensors, and they’re instantly connected with a global community of fitness enthusiasts riding and racing 24 hours a day.

“We watch TV every day,” comments Eric Min, CEO of Zwift. “We see participation in Zwift as part of that daily integration, with users easily connecting their fitness devices and streaming the game on the big screen. The affordability and convenience of Apple TV makes our fitness app truly accessible to the masses and helps us realize our original vision for what Zwift can do for our users.”

The Apple TV 4K has their fastest yet Apple-designed processors which deliver enhanced performance, allowing Zwift users to achieve an even richer experience. Instant, native Bluetooth pairing lets users connect to smart trainers, power meters, heart rate monitors, and other exercise sensors.

Zwift is offered as non-contract, monthly subscription priced at US$14.99 / £14.49 per month. A seven-day free unlimited trial is automatically offered to all new account holders. Zwift is currently available on the App Store along with Zwift’s companion app, the “Zwift Mobile Link,” which can be used in tandem with Zwift as a game controller, data display, event feed, and social integration tool.
