Giant-Shimano: Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt
logogiantshimano This Thursday sees Team Giant-Shimano head to the home race of John Degenkolb (GER) in Frankfurt with a new rider in their line-up.

New Dutch rider to the squad, Brian Bulgac (NED) will line-up for his first race in Team Giant-Shimano colours as he steps back up to the WorldTour.

Bulgac joins Degenkolb who won this race back in 2011 and who will be looking to get up there at the finish once again, using the confidence gained from a successful start to the season.

Joining him are fellow sprinters Jonas Ahlstrand (SWE) and Nikias Arndt (GER) giving the team a few options for a fast finish if needed. They are shouldered by a strong support team including ‘the breakaway-killer’ Cheng Ji (CHN).

“We head to Frankfurt with a clear goal, to race for a sprint with John in his home race,” said Team Giant-Shimano coach, Rudi Kemna (NED).

“But everybody knows that this is what we will aim to ride for so we will have to be clever about how we try and control the race.

“It will also be Brian’s first race with us and a good one for him to find his way in a race where teamwork will be very important.”
