“Tired but happy is our way of saying once the event is over – organizational team’s leader Giuseppe Manenti explained – as the outcome was really glittering, likewise the unanimous and sincere congratulations we collected. Granfondo Gimondi-Bianchi restarted in style definitively, we’ll never stop to thank all those supported us in the hardest moments up to make all this possible. This event is our jewel the City and the Province of Bergamo should feel proud host of”.
Time to look ahead and work for 2015 events has already come. “The event’s date tops our to-do-list –Manenti explained – in order to avoid any calendar’s overlap, mostly about events taking place in the same Region’s nearby. Felice Gimondi and myself took the opportunity pointing out this topic to Olympic Committee President Malagò and Italian Cycling Federation President Di Rocco aiming a definitive solution hopefully. We need strict rules to protect the most prestigious Granfondo with no damage for the others, of course”.
Manenti makes plans for the next edition meanwhile: “We firmly rooted our objectives with the strong aim to make our Granfondo more and more international, workin’ on it”. The organizers recorded many positive comments from abroad indeed, last but not least the amazing review (click here to read), issued by Cyclosport, founded in 2003 in UK and rapidly soared to become the leading global web site for cycling events for amateurs.
