“André Schulze rode for our team in 2012. With three victories, he played a major role in our record for that season. I came to appreciate his professionalism on and off the races and I am convinced that he will take the same approach in performing his tasks as a Sports Director. He will use his knowledge to specifically attend to our young sprinters,” said Ralph Denk, Team Manager of Team NetApp-Endura.
“During the second half of the season this year, Christian Pömer had already started working for us as a Sports Director. In the first race after he joined us we had a win in Zottegem, which shows that Christian immediately got off to a good start with our riders and did a great job integrating into the team. We want to work together to build on that this year,” Denk continued.
André Schulze can look back on a thirteen-year career as a professional cyclist, and most recently he rode for the Spanish WorldTour Team Euskatel-Euskadi. The sprinter has had more than 30 victories, including stage wins in the Tour of Turkey, the Tour of Qinghai Lake and the Bayern Rundfahrt.
Christian Pömer ended his career as a professional cyclist with Team Volksbank in 2007. After studying sports management, the native Austrian returned to cycling in 2011 as a press officer and later as a manager for Team Gourmetfein–Simplon.
