Giro del Trentino’s 38th edition (April 22-25) will be in the spotlight to start with the pre-race media conference on Monday in Arco. New Italian National Team Manager Davide Cassani to be honored with “Ciclismo Vita Mia” award.
Looking forward to a fascinating and appealing challenge, the most severe test in view of the upcoming Giro d’Italia, 38th Giro del Trentino (April 22-25) proves to be a crucial juncture of the season, linking the first part of it – focused on Classics – with the Grand Tours, starting with Giro d’Italia.
Top riders such as Cadel Evans, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Michele Scarponi, Ivan Basso and Domenico Pozzovivo, are expected to be top players on Trentino’s roads. Meantime, the starting list keeps on growing in stature with further big names like Caja Rural’s Luis Leon Sanchez, winner of 4 Tour de France stages and Clasica San Sebastian twice.
In view of the opening TTT (Riva del Garda – Arco) and tough uphill finishes (San Giacomo di Brentonico, Roncone and Monte Bondone), the top favourites and the new Italian National Team Manager Davide Cassani will attend the pre-race media conference, scheduled on Monday, April 21st (4:00 pm CET) at the race headquarter in Arco’s Casino. In addition, at the end of the press conference, Cassani will be honoured with “Ciclismo Vita Mia” award.
On same day, at the Arco’s Casino, teams registration and the Sport Directors technical meeting are also scheduled. Following (5:30 pm) the 77th Italian Professional Riders Association (ACCPI) General Assembly will take place.
