Professional mountain biker and Team Bulls stalwart, Karl Platt will once again be contesting the Pro Yellow Jersey. Karl is 4 times winner of the ABSA Cape Epic and has in the past been a jersey winner in The London-Paris, Alpine Challenge and Cape Rouleur.
Tour de France legend and winner of the Triple Crown in 1987, Stephen Roche will once again be making the trip to Cape Town. He is a regular participant enjoying the week of racing and riding, finally finishing with the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour.
Joel Stransky, Springbok rugby legend will be riding his third consecutive Cape Rouleur accompanied by riders fundraising for his Lumo Hawk charity, one of the official charity partners.
Matt Prior, Vice Captain of the England Cricket team will be making his debut. A relatively new convert to cycling he will be a force to be reckoned with.
Jan Braai, founder of National Braai Day and TV personality will also be making his debut appearance in what is his first multi stage endurance road event.
Liezel van der Westhuizen, radio and TV personality who is also known for her participation in a multitude of extreme endurance events will be riding her debut Cape Rouleur.
