'Let it be, let it be,' what's that? some one is singing - badly! If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was Franco; Jeez! it is Franco! The riders, mechanics, soigneurs and runners all hate split sessions;- that's when you have an afternoon session, then have an evening one, too - like we did on Saturday.

Pro Shop: A New Season Ahead!

It's time to bring back our Pro Shop with two new guest professionals; Rubens Bertogliati (Androni-Diquigiovanni) and Vladamir Efimkin (AG2R.) I had the pleasure of working and riding with them this past couple months and was able to have some good discussions about their training and racing.

Updated! Hallelujah, they're racing in Qatar, and I just got back from celebrating with every other New Orleanian on Bourbon Street. There's news to report though, work to be done. Rest In Peace: Franco Ballerini

It was a dark Sunday morning in Italy when the news services announced that Franco Ballerini, ex-professional, former dual Paris-Roubaix winner and current Italian national coach, had died as result of injuries sustained in a rally accident. Matt Conn offers his words in condolence for the great loss.

The maracas shake, 'Cara mia, mine !' blasts from the PA. Bang! The little cannon fires and the hall fills with smoke. Yes, this is the right place, the Ballerup Super Arena, I heave Franco forward as the opening one hour chase gets the last six day of the 2009/10 season under way. Once again, Ed Hood is on the scene, working hard, and doing his best to take us inside that one of a kind world known as a Six Day.
