Ryan Lund of Providence RI. Ryan said it’s the first time he’s won anything – !
This wasn’t you’re average “you’ve just won something from PEZ” type phone call… After a quick introduction, Ryan and I talked about le Tour for a good 10 minutes. I did, however, finally get around to revealing the real reason for my call, and needless to say Ryan was thrilled to have been selected from all the entrants…
Ryan went so far as to send this email: “As a huge Pez and Polar fan, I can’t tell you all how excited I am. Cycling is a huge part of my life and I am proud to learn a REAL Pez reader AND Polar owner has won the RCX5 TDF GPS. While my current 720 has served me well, the RCX5 is going to be a huge upgrade to my fitness regime.
I was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus on the same day Lance Armstrong won stage 19 in Futuroscope at the age of 19. After recovering from hyperglycemia and returning home, my parents gave me my first road bike. It was a Trek 2200 in red with 105 components. While reading Pez and using Polar equipment to ensure that I perform in a safe physiological level, you all have been part of my life with diabetes. And my Polar 720 has kept me from dangerous low blood sugars while grinding through miles, crits or Olympic distance triathlons.
So, thank you both and a huge thanks to the teams at Pez and Polar.”
One lucky reader has won the Polar RCX5 Bike training computer valued at $469.95 – thanks to everyone for entering!
Congrats again to Ryan, and thanks to everyone who entered!
